Ulcerative Colitis

Ulcerative colitis (UC) is a type of inflammatory bowel disease that causes sores in the colon. Symptoms include abdominal pain and diarrhea, sometimes bloody. Treatment for UC may be a combination of over-the-counter antidiarrhetics and prescription steroids or aminosalicylates.

Irritable Bowel Syndrome

Irritable bowel syndrome or IBS affects mostly women. Causes are unknown. IBS symptoms include diarrhea, constipation, and abdominal cramps. IBS treatments include diet and lifestyle changes and medications
